Video Script
In this video, we’ll give a brief overview of the various pages as we take you through the 10 steps needed to set up your seller account. However, please note that if you want to dive into more detail about a particular page at any time, these purple camera icons on the pages will allow you to view a more thorough video demo about that specific page.
After you complete each step in this process, we advise that you return to the dashboard which will automatically show you the steps again so you know the next step in the process. Alternatively, you can close and open the 10 steps at any time by clicking this text here for seller setup progress.
You have to complete the first 5 steps before Rivly seller support has all the information needed to officially approve your application, which will then give you access to all the pages in the seller portal. At that time, you can complete steps 6 through 10 and you'll be ready to start making sales.
So, since you already completed the first step to get to this point, let’s move onto step 2. Clicking the purple text in any of these steps will take you straight to the specific page needed to complete the task, then you can return to the dashboard after each step to see what’s next. Step 2 is optional, as not everyone will have an amazon account to integrate, but if you do, then you can seamlessly import all of your Amazon listings into Rivly. Integrating your account is easy by just clicking on the Amazon card, logging into your account, and clicking to import new products to Rivly.
Step 3 is to add a profile picture to your user profile page. We know shoppers want more personal interactions with the brands they buy from, so it’s important at Rivly that customers see a face behind the brand when providing live chat support. That image is uploaded here with a minimum of 300 by 300 pixel resolution. You can crop it as long as it still meets the minimum resolution, and then save to add it to your profile.
Step 4 is to review your public seller details and add a seller display name for your customers to know you by. Adding a logo for your seller account is optional but it is recommended as it gives a more professional appearance to the shopper.
For Step 5 we’ll head over to the Billing and Payments page so you can add a credit card for your account. This card is used for seller account verification and to cover any negative account balances.
Now, you’ve done your part in completing steps 1 through 5 and we’ll wait for the Rivly seller team to review your information and either approve your account or reach out with any questions they may have. Once the account is approved, you’ll receive an email letting you know so you can sign back in and finish setting up your account.
Ok your account has been approved, and now you have access to all the pages in the seller portal. For these next few pages, keep in mind they may have their own dedicated video demos just like this if you want to dive into more detail, and they can be viewed by clicking the camera icon seen next to any page title like this one.
Let’s keep going with Step 6 which is either to add a product manually or wait for the amazon importer to finish. In adding a product manually, we’ll go to the Add Product page where you can proceed in creating a listing by going through the required steps.
Back at the dashboard we see that Step 7 is to set your store hours for shoppers in your live chat settings. At Rivly, we want to provide brands with more access to their customers so we’ve created a text-messaging-like experience to communicate with shoppers. Knowing there are times when sellers are more readily available, you can set those store hours here in the live chat settings.
Now, returning to the dashboard, step 8 is just to check your return settings for accuracy. On the return settings page, you can designate where you want your returns to be shipped depending on if they are seller-filled or fulfilled by an integrated third-party logistics provider. Additionally, if you have certain return reasons that you wouldn’t want the shopper to even bother mailing the item back, such as a damaged or defective item, you can also set those here.
Next, Step 9 is to review the customer service score metrics. At Rivly, we believe great customer service is vital to the shopper experience and as such, we track a variety of metrics to let the seller know where they stand and how to improve. The sellers with the best customer service scores will be rewarded with higher product ranks in our search algorithm.
Last, for step 10, if you don’t already have a product active and ready for sale, you can go to the product list and activate those products as long the listing is complete with all the required information and there is stock available.
