On the brands page, you can see all the brands you’re approved to sell, brands you have registered ownership of, and applications that are pending. Just a quick explanation of how we treat brands on Rivly. There are two main types: free brands are brands anyone can sell, and gated brands are brands that can only be opened through an application process. We do things a little differently at Rivly in that we give private label brands more control over their brand presence on the platform. When a brand owner registers ownership of their brand on Rivly by proving ownership of the trademark, they will then control the details of all the listings of that brand on Rivly, and all applications from other sellers to sell that brand from that point forward will go to that brand owner for approval, not to Rivly. This will help prevent any unauthorized hijackers as the brand owner will need to approve these applications themselves. Something to note, anyone who has been selling the brand before the brand owner registered control of it on Rivly will be grandfathered in and still be able to continue selling the brand. This way those who put in the time early and contributed to the growth of the brand on Rivly will not be kicked off down the road once they have a great product rank and thousands of reviews.
So that being said, if you want to register ownership of your brand, you can do so here, or using the action dropdown next to the brand to get to the application. Note, you do need a registration number for your trademark with the US Patent and trademark office in order to apply to register your brand. A serial number will not work. You’ll need to wait until you obtain an official registration number in order to apply.
