On the brands page, you can see all the brands you’re approved to sell, brands you have registered ownership of, and applications that are pending. Just a quick explanation of how we treat brands on Rivly. There are two main types: free brands are brands anyone can sell, and gated brands are brands that can only be opened through an application process. We do things a little differently at Rivly in that we give private label brands more control over their brand presence on the platform. When a brand owner registers ownership of their brand on Rivly by proving ownership of the trademark, they will then control the details of all the listings of that brand on Rivly, and all applications from other sellers to sell that brand from that point forward will go to that brand owner for approval, not to Rivly. This will help prevent any unauthorized hijackers as the brand owner will need to approve these applications themselves. Something to note, anyone who has been selling the brand before the brand owner registered control of it on Rivly will be grandfathered in and still be able to continue selling the brand. This way those who put in the time early and contributed to the growth of the brand on Rivly will not be kicked off down the road once they have a great product rank and thousands of reviews.
So that being said, if you want to register ownership of your brand, you can do so here, or using the action dropdown next to the brand to get to the application. Note, you do need a registration number for your trademark with the US Patent and trademark office in order to apply to register your brand. A serial number will not work. You’ll need to wait until you obtain an official registration number in order to apply.
The product list is likely where you'll spend most of your time. If you have a big list, you can search by SKU, RCN, which stands for Rivly Catalog Number, or Title of the product which will help to filter down the results. Or, you can use any of these green filters in the top right.
There are 5 different listing status types on Rivly. Active is a straightforward one where you have a complete listing and stock is available so it is shown to the shoppers as available for purchase. Out of stock is self-explanatory, closed listings are ones you have optionally decided to close, maybe it’s a seasonal item or one you don’t plan to sell for now. Note that these closed listings will also have their alerts turned off so you can focus on the items you are intending to sell. Incomplete listings are still missing some required information, and flagged listings are ones that our algorithms or moderation system has found an issue with that needs to be addressed, and you can address that issue through a seller support case which could result in Rivly unflagging your listing.
Something we’ve really tried to make easy is the ability to make bulk modifications to your listings using our bulk actions button. You can change listing status, quantities, prices, return types, shipping speeds, product categories, and importantly you can set the country of origin for your products as it's a required field for our listings at Rivly. You’ll also notice some individual actions using our dropdown at the end of each listing row. The ability to edit your listing information is here, which is one sellers will use frequently.
One last feature to point out is how easy it is to manipulate variation families on Rivly. You can check multiple individual listings and group them into a new variation family by stating the variation types, you can convert a single listing into the start of a variation family, you can add this listing to another variation family, you can add one variation family to another one and combine them and you can easily add more variation listings to an existing variation family. For example, if you want to add a purple version of this, you can click here and add it to the family.
