Here is the Rivly product wizard. Using these 5 sections listed across the top, you’ll have the ability to add or edit any product information that is ultimately displayed to your shoppers. Also something to note, as long as you have a completed foundation section, you can then navigate to the other sections freely by clicking their respective icons, or using the next and previous buttons at the bottom of the page. At any time if you would like to exit WITHOUT saving your changes, you can move to another page in the seller portal or close this tab, otherwise, you can click save and close if you want to leave while ALSO saving your changes.
The foundation section lays the groundwork for your listings by establishing the category, brand, allows you to easily edit variation types or terms, and importantly, set the country of origin attestation. At Rivly, we have a policy that promotes transparency for our sellers and shoppers. That being said, we require that all listings have a country of origin attestation where you can set whether these products are made in the USA, assembled in the USA, or foreign products according to FTC guidelines.
The basics section contains information that is editable for all sellers. Rivly is a first-to-list marketplace, meaning that whoever creates the listing first, the primary seller, will own access and ability to edit all sections of information in the listing. Secondary sellers that come on to sell the product later will only have access to the basics section seen here. However, if you are a secondary seller and feel that important information is missing from the listing, please reach out to seller support for assistance. There is one exception to these rules and that is if the brand owner signs up on Rivly and registers their brand ownership with a trademark. In that case, the registered brand owner will take over control of all the listings of their brand on the platform. Something to also note on this page is regarding the SKU. You can change this SKU at any time, unless you use amazon to fulfill your orders, where the Rivly SKU here and the Amazon SKU must match to ship orders correctly.
The details section is all optional information that is not required to have a complete listing. However, bullet points, description, and other information are important for shoppers and even more important for search engine optimization on Rivly.
Enhanced content is also optional information and is your chance to set your product apart by adding customized text, images, or video content to be shown on the product detail page for shoppers. Feel free to use these tools to create your own mini-website that can highlight the benefits of your product, comparisons to other similar products, or showcase your brand story for example.
The media page will help you to organize all images and product videos for your listing. As you can see, there are image slots for 1 required main image, 5 optional additional images, and 1 optional video which will display in the same scrollable window as the images. These tooltips next to each column header will provide further information as to the size restrictions and file types permitted for each slot. We’ve tried to make this process as easy as possible by allowing you to download or move images left and right, and in creating what is called an “All Variations” row. Any image put into this row will automatically occupy that image slot for all variations beneath it. However, if you place an image into a specific variation row, that image will then override and display for that variation instead of the image in the all variations row.
Last, keep in mind that a complete listing does not require all of the information in each section. Red alerts will help guide you to what is required and what is not. However, a more complete listing will help you in search engine optimization on Rivly and helps in your service score to customers.
