Question
Can shoppers return items themselves or do I send them a pre-paid return label?
Answer
As long as the return window is still open (typically 30 days after delivery), shoppers go through a self-service portal when they want to return an item, similar to Amazon.
The Rivly shopper can print the shipping label themselves and drop off at any nearby UPS store, or if no printer is available, they have the option to receive a QR code that they can show to any local UPS store to print and ship their return.
Your default return addresses for your account are specified on the Return Setting page in your seller account. If there are certain items in your catalog that need a specific return address that is different from the default, you can set that by editing the individual product.
However, note that before a shopper is able to return an item, we attempt to direct them to the seller for support in an attempt to avoid a return while providing the opportunity to give an outstanding customer service experience.
Additionally, return shipping costs are kept reasonable for the seller using our high volume carrier accounts, and we even subsidize the cost of the return in many instances.
