Your seller fulfillment page contains all the settings available for products where it’s been designated as the seller’s responsibility to arrange shipping to the customer, not an integrated 3PL. So, if you use an integrated 3PL like amazon to fulfill all your orders, this page will not be pertinent to your business. If you are responsible for shipping your orders to customers, we have many options here to make your life easier.
First, you can set ship-from addresses that can be referenced in other places in the app and used when purchasing shipping labels through Rivly. If you purchase lots of shipping labels using our discounted rates, you’ll find it advantageous to set custom package types for your best selling items. A custom package type is a series of pre-set box dimensions and a weight, typically for an individual unit. For example, if I know an order for a single 3oz bottle will always get shipped in a certain package, we can set this so purchasing shipping labels in bulk is just a few clicks using preset ship-from addresses and custom package types. You can even optionally pre-select the shipping type you would utilize for either standard or express shipping. Once this information has been entered above, you can then assign this custom package type to various SKUs by searching here, or even easier, by heading over to the product list page and checkboxing items to use the bulk action button.
Other settings include signature confirmation for all packages or only those above a certain price, carrier preferences to exclude from your shipping label quotes, insurance settings for packages above a certain price, and order handling time specifics. All sellers will have a default order handling time of 1 day on account creation, which data suggests is the standard for good customer service. This means for all new listings created, the default handling time would be set to this value. Seller handling days are Monday through Friday, meaning orders that come in on Friday with 1 day handling are expected to ship by end of day Monday. If you have some items in your catalog that require a longer handling time, you can set SKU-specific handling times by editing your product basics from the product list page. Any handling times set here in the product basics will override any default setting for your entire catalog.
In returning back to the seller fulfillment settings page, please note that despite the typical default order handling time of 1 day, you do have the option to provide the highest level of service with same-day handling by entering 0 days. With this setting enabled, the order cutoff time below will be in effect according to your local time zone. For example, if you have 2pm Eastern Time set as your cutoff time with 0 days handling, effectively enabling same-day shipping for your customers, any orders that come in before 2pm will need to be shipped by the end of the same day, while orders placed after 2pm will need to be shipped by the end of the next handling day.
